Jeff Maggertwho currently swings his clubs on the PGA Champions Tour, has found a buyer for his sizable home in The Woodlands, TX, about 30 miles north of Houston.
Listed in May for $2.3 million, the five-bedroom, 4.5-bath home sold quickly in a mid-June deal. The sales price hasn’t been disclosed as of yet.
The nearly 6,900-square-foot, traditionally designed dwelling was custom built by George Weaver.
The beautiful residence has a classic, tapered-style tile roof and is flanked by stately trees and a horseshoe-shaped driveway that wends its way to a gated courtyard entry.
For resort-level relaxation, there are multiple indoor and outdoor living areas with fireplaces to enjoy, depending on the weather and your mood. The kitchen is well equipped to handle crowds, and the formal dining area, breakfast nook, and wine room offer even more space for hosting guests.
There’s also a game room and media room for indoor fun with family and friends.
The main bedroom is a luxurious spot, complete with a two-sided fireplace, lovely sitting area and gorgeous bathroom with a soaking tub and makeup counter.
Out in the yard, a pool awaits those steamy Texas days. Entertaining space is generous here, with a large bricked patio and pavilion near the pool and spa.
Maggert, 59, played college golf at Texas A&M and joined the PGA tour in 1991. He won three times on the tour, beginning with his victory in 1993 at the Walt Disney World/Oldsmobile Classic.
Maggert also boasts 50 top-five finishes, 12 times in third place, and 16 turns in the runner-up spot. He moved over to the PGA Champions tour in 2014 and has so far won six events. He’s amazed career winnings of more than $27 million.
