Rent Out Property

Jeff Bezos is renting Kenny G’s Malibu home for $600K/month

Amazon honcho Jeff Bezos has a massive real-estate portfolio ranging from a sprawling beachfront spread in Maui to properties in the states of Washington and New York.

But it looks like he still has cause to rent out homes.

Bezos and his new fiancée Lauren Sanchez — the two of whom have returned from their trip sailing around Europe in Bezos’s $485 million mega yacht — are renting a Malibu home from none other than the iconic soft-jazz saxophonist Kenny G for a cool $600,000 per month .

The two have been renting the oceanfront home since March, according to TMZ. They’re leasing it unfurnished. All of Kenny G’s stuff is in storage, replaced by the couple’s own furniture, the outlet reported.

It seems like they’ll remain there until construction on their Beverly Hills megamansion is all finished. The 15,000-square-foot home’s construction was recently halted pending approval of its application to expand its footprint, The Post previously reported.

In 1998, the Grammy-winning Kenny G paid $12.5 million to purchase the six-bedroom, 5,400-plus-square-foot Cape Cod-style compound on Grayfox Street, records show.

Two years later, in 2000, Kenny G acquired the adjacent 1.06-acre lot and built a 3,500-square-foot retreat that was completed in 2006. He spent an estimated $3 million to build the property.

The retreat has two bedrooms, four bathrooms, a 16-seater dining table, a pool table, a terrace and a bar that was designed by Rande Gerber — the businessman who’s married to Cindy Crawford. Outside are a tennis court and a 1,500-square-foot recording studio.

Combined, the estate comprises 2.5 acres and access to the exclusive Little Dume Beach.

Until their Beverly Hills mansion is completed, it looks like the total cost of the Malibu rental will equate to $7 million a year.

But while this rental has a pretty hefty price tag, it’s not quite the most expensive rental out there. In 2015, a 22,000-square-foot Malibu estate with a 168-foot-long infinity pool was listed for rent for an eye-popping $750,000 a month.

Kenny G purchased his first home in Malibu as a surprise for his then-wife, Lyndie Benson. The two divorced in 2012 and share two children.

Sources tell The Post that Bezos is quietly shopping for a home in the neighborhood, and he might even make an offer on Kenny G’s own home since those of this magnitude in the celebrity-filled town are scarce.

At its early developmental stages, the Los Angeles beach town has always been reserved for the rich and famous. But in the last few years alone, even millionaires have been shut out — and the community has become a staple for the ultra-rich only.

Larry Ellison, the tech titan who has invested significantly in the town since nearly three decades ago, started the Malibu trend of sending area property values through the roof.

In the past year alone, venture capitalist Marc Andreessen and his wife, Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen, have purchased three separate Malibu estates for a combined $255.5 million.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z most recently splashed out a whopping $200 million in all cash for a Malibu oasis — the most expensive home ever purchased in the state of California.
