Political podcaster Jon Favreau is trading up in the City of Angels.
Indeed, the former speechwriter for President Barack Obama and current co-host of the podcast “Pod Save America” is moving to the coveted Windsor Square neighborhood. So he’s unloading his gorgeously renovated Los Angeles launch, which he picked up in 2020 for $3.5 million.
Favreau has listed the four-bedroom, five-bath, 3,400-square-foot residence for a cool $4.4 million. It features a sea-inspired blue, green, and white palette and blond wood floors.
Updated interiors
At more than a hundred years old, the home sports solid bones, but it’s the updated look that makes it a standout. Beamed ceilings, sunny windows, and a beach color palette offer SoCal vibes.
A center hall anchors the main room, and an open floor plan flows nicely toward the kitchen and backyard. Glass doors connect the interior spaces with the outside, which includes a pool, spa and pool house. An attractive home office features bookshelves painted a handsome forest green.
The main bedroom suite comes with a small balcony, and a bonus room nearby can be used for a playroom or extra sleep space.
Favreau was one of the youngest speechwriters ever to work at the White House, at age 27. He’s also a founder, along with several other former Obama staffers, of Crooked Media, a progressive political media company.
According to news reports, Favreau’s new home cost more than double what his current one did, as he paid just under $10 million to secure it.
