TV Star Scott Baio Lists His Southern California Mansion for $3.8M

It looks like one of television’s most familiar actors is saying so long to his Los Angeles-area home.

Scott Baio has just listed his five-bedroom, 4.5-bath home in Woodland Hills, CA. The house is available for $3.85 million, a price tag that could yield a nice profit.

The actor, who famously filled the role of Chachi on “Happy Days” and later appeared as the title character on “Charles in Charge,” paid $1.85 million for the property in 2010.

The home is in the guard-gated community of Westchester County Estates, on one of the largest lots in the development. The pretty perch has a classic, red-toned, Mediterranean tile roof and offers every luxurious amenity you might expect.

With more than 6,300 square feet, the dwelling offers plenty of room for a large family—or just one that loves to entertain. A lofty ceiling, stone floors, and a curvy staircase greet you at the first-floor entry, where the great room, dining room, and home office are situated.

The gourmet kitchen has a sizeable island, seating area, walk-in pantry, and cozy fireplace. The primary suite upstairs also features a fireplace, plus an impressive bathroom and two walk-in closets—no need to share! And a souped-up home theater with surround sound is ready for movie nights.

Outside, a lovely yard with a pool, spa, and loads of plantings (roses, fruit trees, bougainvillea) fills the quiet, grassy oasis. And future owners will appreciate that this solitude is all but guaranteed, thanks to a no-build zone behind the house.

After his “Happy Days” fame came to end, Baio reprized his character on a two-season spinoff called “Joanie Loves Chachi.” He then moved on to other TV projects, including the show “Baby Talk.”
